Fitness on Vacation

After a seemingly endless roadtrip from New York City to Lake Placid yesterday, my body feels rusty – sitting for 6 hours, my hip flexors, calves, low back and posture muscles feel tight, sore and in need of manipulation. Some people skip working out while on vacation, but I can’t imagine more sedentary behavior after that sloth-like ride! Travel is no excuse for missing workouts: consistency is key to maintaining strength and fitness levels.

With so many portable workout tools out there, hauling equipment from home has never been easier. In addition to proper clothing and sneakers, here are some lightweight packing ideas:
