What a year!
Whew! In the past year, I’ve been on quite the ride: NBC’s COZI TV picked up my reality show, “Pushing It” – a dramedy that follows 3 of my real-life New York City clients through different stages of motherhood. What fun we had! (If you missed an episode, check here.) Filming lasted from October to January, and was all-consuming, but who’s complaining? During the show, I wore my doula ‘hat’ and welcomed baby Lucia into the world. Since then, I’ve been studying my brains out and passed certifications in Nutrition, Childbirth Education and Master Training for pre & postnatal fitness.
Things haven’t slowed down, either. This summer, I experienced some really amazing media exposure in connection with the airing of my show. The Hollywood Reporter announced ‘Pushing It’. For an entire week in June, I was on Taxi TV that resulted in a few unnerving street recognitions and shout-outs from strangers. I was interviewed by NBC Blogger, Amanda Massa and Sara Gore (!), for New York Live. I spent time at 30 Rock for a satellite press tour with nationwide NBC affiliates. Then, Jennifer Kotila interviewed me for my hometown newspaper. So did the amazing mommy blog site Fit Bottomed Mamas. Finally, I had the honor and privilege to present – front and center stage – at NBC4 & Giants Stadium Health Expo.
I’ve made some really great friends in the last year, and am so thankful for this journey. Stay tuned for more fun and crazy adventures in Jennyland.
