Never too busy.
September is one of the busiest months of the year for most of us. With school, new work deadlines and recommitment to obligations, it’s easy to put fitness and nutrition on the back burner.
So it’s no wonder that I hear excuses like, “I just don’t have time these days – it’s a miracle I’m getting to my training sessions!”
Look. If I can make time, anyone can. With wake-up at 5am most days (Stan is up at 4am!), I carve out extra time to eat a solid breakfast, commit mentally to my health and pack snacks for the day. If I can’t get to the gym, walking fast or jogging between clients, busting out a few pushups and stretching while I wait adds up!
So if you, too, are jammed these days, wake up a few minutes early and prepare for your day. Here are a few easy snack ideas to get you started.
- apple with 10 raw cashews
- pear with string cheese
- 1/2 cup trail mix
- 2 brown rice cakes with 1 Tbsp hummus
- 1/2 banana with 1 Tbsp peanut butter
- 2 wasa crackers with almond butter
- 10 carrot sticks with yogurt-dill dip
