Yesterday’s ING NYC marathon was an emotional delight! I woke up earlier than usual for a Sunday morning, thanks to that extra daylight savings hour, and tuned in to watch the elite athletes work their magic.
With the remote in one hand and my coffee in the other, I couldn’t help but think about my 7 clients corralled on the other side of that windy & cold Verrazano bridge…6 months of training behind, they certainly had their work cut out. I couldn’t wait to get to the 19-mile-marker and cheer them on!
As each client passed me by, fresh as a daisy, I had to hold back tears. And when I hopped in to escort my superstar through the Bronx, I got to experience the excitement for myself! It was one of the highlights of my year.
There are very few things that move me to tears, but seeing someone accomplish their goal is so inspiring to me. Especially when one of my clients came in at 131st of females overall!
